Until Gerard Butler proposes to me, I’ll just have to settle for watching other newlywed lovers feed slices of decadent wedding cake to one another. As a wedding photographer, I’ve seen my fair share of this time-honored practice. Although many couples stick to tradition when it comes to cutting the cake, most fore their own paths where dessert design is concerned. And a signature cake wouldn’t be the same without a topper that reflects the couple’s sense of style. Below you’ll find some of my favorite selections for LGBT cake toppers.
|For traditional couples, I recommend these classic toppers. I’m convinced the lesbian figurines were fashioned after Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. And, obviously the topper with two grooms is Gerard and me because my clumsy tail would fall off the cake.
|Adorable newlyweds should consider these custom toppers handmade right here in Atlanta. Don’t you just want to pinch their cheeks?
|Want to be immortalized? Younique Boutique will sculpt your face onto one of five “gay” characters for a personalized topper. I wonder if they could create a Spartan character for my Gerard.
|Photographs always grab my attention, so this glass photo vase topper is a winner in my book. Perhaps seeing my face staring back at me would dissuade me from gorging myself on cake. No, probably not.
