Joan Rivers and Lenox Mall

Joan Rivers and Lenox Mall

What do they have in common? Both are addicted to facelifts.

Construction is to Buckhead as milk is to cookies.

We’ve all seen it. The yellow tape. The Bobcats. The rubble. The complete absence of construction workers.

In fact, I wager that were we all to arrive in Buckhead only to find everything finished you would hear the unanimous gasps of “we’re not in Kansas anymore”.

Well that day may not be far away. Operative word: may.

Enter Lenox Mall, whose main entrance is undergoing yet another huge renovation. With a towering new façade and curvy glass porte-cochère, this Simon property will look nothing like it used to.

Other changes will include a bamboo lined outdoor seating area around the food court entrance, a traffic circle, pedestrian connection to Peachtree Road, and enhanced sidewalks and landscaping.

Plans are still in the works, however, so don’t hold your breath.

…and watch out for that tape.
